Rise of socialism 20's
The 20's was a time of great tension which lay between the two world wars and the great depression, with all the criticisms towards governments socialism, communism and fascism began to rear their ugly heads. The basic idea of socialism and communism is to have a perfect society, where the government is controlled by a classless society that doesn't depend on currency. its generally you do your job society will thrive perfectly, also the theory of it also means that markets cant be exploited and distorted, like in capitalist society. While Fascism's is the exact opposite a society from corporate point of view simply profits i suppose, a hard calculating number crunching cold society.
Important People part 2: the 30th president
Calvin Coolidge, At 2:30 on the morning of August 3, 1923, while visiting in Vermont, Calvin Coolidge received word that he was President. He was sworn in on his family bible the same day. He had become the 30th president of the united states overnight, with the death of former president Warren G. Harding, via heart attack, know as being a strong determined president he won re-election in 1924. He often supported the econimcal boom and refused to on things like foreign policies and government checks on the current economic vote. it made him a huge hit, and probably one of the contributions to the eventual stock market crash

roaring 20's politics
Okay so i lost the blog that i had originally used for my project, so im going to transfer everything i did onto here. Hopefully it turns out well.
Obviously my part of the project is politics, the 1920's where a time of unstable ground directly after the nineteenth amendment was passed, which gave women the right to vote. Which helped pave the way for more equal rights acts for women, including several leagues and laws some of which i will actually go over. However their are three major topics to my blog posts, it will either be A Person, An Event, Or a Law/Act of congress. They're may also be a misc topic in their or two that i thought was interesting.

Political Movements in the Twenties
The 1920's was fertile ground for many political movements. With The sufferage campaign leading to the nintenth amendment a few years earlier, proved almost anything thing could be acomplished in a prejudiced society.
The Forming of ACLU- (American Civil Liberteis Union) A Union started to support the rights promised by the bill of rights, as well as several other things including protecting teh rights of immigrants.
Anti-Sufrage Movements- With the sufrage campaign brought prejudice, however the anti-sufrage campaigns didn't end after the nintenth amendment was passed they stayed alive for several years until it finally died out in the late 20's.
Equal Rights Amendment- Was founded by women after teh sufrage campaign to improve womens rights even more.
Now the next two are something i've never even herd of, and i don't even know how to describe them...
The Founding of ABCL- (American Birth Control League) The forming of a national comitte to grant dotors permition to help create birth control technology adn medications as well as raise awareness of Birth Control and open Birth Control clinics.
Anti-Lynching Crusades- A Policital movement spearheaded by the NAACP, with msot of its followers being black women, they attempted to raise money to help pass and gian support for anti lynching bills. While Former attempts had been made none where passed. However even this attempt failde adn lynchign didn't become a federal offense until 1965. ( For anyoen who doesn't know lynching is usually done by a mob and involves hanging people from tree's or burning at the stake, google at your own risk its very disturbing.)
